Mitchell Pham
Mitchell Pham is a prominent figure in the field of technology and entrepreneurship, with extensive experience spanning three decades in New Zealand and nearly two in Asia.
His expertise is at the forefront of digital innovation across various industries such as financial services, healthcare, social services, transport, supply chain, and logistics.
In New Zealand, Pham has played pivotal roles in the technology sector. He chaired NZTech and cofounded numerous industry networks and collaborations, including FinTechNZ, InsurTechNZ, WealthTechNZ, AgriTechNZ, EdTechNZ, the NZ Digital Health Association, ANZBC, and the NZ ASEAN Business Alliance. As Chair of the Digital Council for Aotearoa NZ, he significantly influenced the government's Digital Strategy for Aotearoa New Zealand. He's currently a member of the Central Bank Digital Currency advisory forum of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and champions Digital Inclusion and Environmental Sustainability in the technology industry. He also co-leads the development of the Climate Technology Roadmap for New Zealand’s Emission Reductions Plan.
Globally, Pham leads KEA’s global board and is part of the APEC Digital Trust think tank based in Singapore. He has been recognised as a World Class New Zealander by KEA, a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, an Asia 21 Fellow and Global Council Member of the Asia Society, and a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA). In January 2023, King Charles III appointed him as an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for his services to the technology sector and New Zealand-Asia relations.
