Experienced MC Carly Flynn has a wealth of experience both on and off the screen. A journalist, presenter and much-loved New Zealand broadcaster, Carly enjoys meeting and talking with people and is passionate about her chosen career.
A former Nightline, Sunrise and 3News presenter and journalist, Carly is more recently known for her role as presenter of TV3’s flagship consumer affairs programme Target, 60Minutes, as well as lifestyle shows Cook the Books, and is currently filming the Healthy Food Guide to air in February 2017.
Carly gained a Bachelor of Media Arts in the late 90s and has worked in the industry ever since. Working as a newsreader and radio host on a number of radio stations, she also writes on a variety of topics for newspapers and magazines, all while juggling a busy family life.
Carly also hosts a weekly lifestyle Radio show, Saturday Fresh on Radio Live 10-2pm, showcasing the best of kiwi food, culture, design, health and wellbeing and celebrity guests.
Carly's career highlights include being the first reporter on the ground after the Samoan Tsunami, reporting from there right around the world, fronting the Telethon for Kidscan which raised over a million dollars for kiwi kids, hosting Coca Cola Christmas in the Park, amongst many other notable performances. Carly was also finalist in the Best Television Presenter category at the prestigious New Zealand Film and Television Awards.
Originally from Taupo, New Zealand, Carly currently lives on Auckland’s North shore with husband Dave and their two children Tilly and Jude.
She’s a qualified yoga teacher, enjoys home renovation, gardening, pilates, diving, cooking, and spending time sharing inspirational stories.
Recent MC work includes hosting the NZ Food Awards, The annual Connexis Women In Business seminar (2 years running), the launch and re branding of Cavalier Bremworth, and the Deloitte Top 200 Business awards.
