INSPIRATIONAL

CONFERENCE SPEAKER

BUSINESS SPEAKER

Alexia is 19-years-old, just finished high-school, yet her love of Women’s empowerment and STEM (Science, Technology Engineering, and Math) has led her to a level of influence well beyond her years. She established GirlBoss New Zealand, an organisation which encourages young women to embrace STEM, Entrepreneurship and higher leadership. In just 18 months GirlBoss has 9000 members.

Alexia’s own mission is to get women to the table - the boardroom table that is, and she believes the decisions made while young are crucial in paving the way.

Through her advocacy work, Alexia has spoken at over 50 events to nearly 20,000 young people, teachers and business professionals about Gender equity, Gen Z Mindset, STEM, and the future of work.

As a National finalist for the Eureka Science Competition, at 17, she was the youngest person to lead a research project at the New Zealand Treasury. At 18, she was selected by the US Embassy and NASA for the NASA SOFIA Southern Deployment. She is New Zealand’s first Eisenhower Youth Fellow and has represented New Zealand at the International Future of Work Summit and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

Alexia’s passion for gender equity is why she was named a Top 30 Global Teen Leader, a Top 5 Young Leader by the New Zealand Government, and the most influential New Zealand woman under the age of 25 at the Westpac Women of Influence Awards.

In 2018, Alexia was personally awarded a Queen's Young Leader Award for Services to the Commonwealth. This was formally presented by Her Majesty, the Queen at Buckingham Palace. She is the youngest Commonwealth Citizen to hold this honour.
